Unlimited Booze & Brownies Recap

In our last post, we announced our plans to relocate and invited the public to our Farewell to Factory Days event. When we said unlimited chocolate, we assumed there would be leftovers (this being a chocolate factory and all) but there were few... the evening turned into unlimited chocolate and unlimited wine with guests surprising me with their never-ending appetite for chocolate and booze! By the end of the night, there was practically nothing left...just a couple of lonely bite size walnut brownies, and a few squares of our Cayenne + Cacao Nibs Bar (perhaps too spicy for some!) Below are some photos from the event. We had far too much Champagne before taking these photos so forgive us for the "quality." Hey, we're chocolate people not photographers.

We had such a great time sipping wine, eating chocolate, and chatting with old (and new) friends who attended our event. We figured most people would be all chocolate-ed (I know that's not a real word) out by the end of the evening, and not need to buy any of the products we had for sale, but people were stocking up! As usual, the ridiculously addictive Pump'dcorn and delicious-any-time-of-the-day-especially-breakfast Almond Clusters sold out first. There were just a few brownie boxes left by the end of the night (we took those with us to enjoy later with more wine at home.) We'll be hosting more fantastic chocolate + wine events in the fall...see you soon!

ps: Many thanks to our lovely friend Nalini (pouring Champagne in the 1st photo) for all your help that evening.

Farewell to Factory Days!

verē is on the move (we’re relocating!) If you've never visited our lovely factory in Manhattan, this is your last chance!

Join us for a bittersweet farewell to our beloved Factory Days. Sip wine, eat chocolate, mingle with other verē chocolate fans, enjoy the lovely view of the Empire State Building + get 10% off all purchases throughout the evening!

We have an exciting new venture in the works! Look out for your favorite chocolates + exciting new products at a brand new NYC location coming late Spring/early Summer. We would never deprive anyone of chocolate, so in the meantime be sure to get your daily dose of verē dark chocolate at these retail locations.

A visit from Serious Eats

Last month in a pre-Valentine's Day stop, Ed Levine of Serious Eats
visited the verē factory and loved our Purist Caramels and vere Crunchy Stuff.

This week Kathy of Serious Eats visited our factory and snapped some exquisite photographs of the chocolates. Her photos made me covet the Pump'dcorn Mix and Pink Peppercorn Wafers and I have access to them every...single...day. When you see the lusciousness conveyed in her photos of the chocolates, you'll agree that Kathy is a very talented lady. I totally agree with her pairing recommendation for the Pump'dcorn Mix - so many ways to eat it, so little time. This may not be PC, but so many people call our Pump'dcorn Mix "crack." Well...they always come back for more...
